Mobile Video
VDT provides a unique concept for commercial applications such as construction sites where theft is a very common occurrence. A mobile video trailer with pole mounted cameras including pan/tilt and license plate capture cameras can be deployed as required and moved as the site developes. Recording can be done on board or wirelessly to another secure location.

Live monitoring can be provided by third party monitoring stations with two way audio if required. Various on board security devices can be added such as alarm, siren, automated flood lights, wheel locks and blocks.

Business Challenge

Video security at the facility has been contracted to Vision Dynamics for approximately the past 10 years, Significant facility renovations and expansion dictated that video security be reviewed. Due to past performance Vision Dynamics was the natural choice of vendor for the upgrades.

Solution

IndigoVision Control Centre Software was chosen as the DVMS software to provide I.P. connectivity. In order to protect the existing security investment, the Sony analog cameras already in place were converted and additional Sony cameras were strategically placed at key points. License plate recognition was provided by 4 Extreme REG1 cameras with I.R. allowing day and night time recognition.
